Hannah is a skilled naval architect and design engineer whose experience ranges from early concept design through to build and commissioning. Hannah is based on the south coast and will work from our new office in Hamble.

Steller Systems to Open New Office on South Coast

Steller Systems is pleased to announce that it will be opening a new South Coast office next month. The new premises are located in the beautiful village of Hamble and overlook Southampton Water and the Solent.

The new office will be home to our growing South Coast team of naval architects and marine engineers. It joins our existing Grade II listed office in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, and our rapid prototyping workshop which opened earlier this year in nearby Minchinhampton.

With the continued increase in demand for Steller Systems’ services, our teams are busy on a wide range of projects including concept and detailed design, analysis, technical bid support, prototyping and trials. Over the next two months we will be welcoming a number of new staff; however we are also on the look out for additional naval architects and marine engineers who enjoy working in multi-disciplinary teams and who relish a challenge. In this role Hugh will be responsible for oversight of our growing portfolio of projects in the surface, subsurface and uncrewed domains. Hugh is an experienced naval architect with a talent for engineering leadership; his broad range of experience includes naval, commercial and uncrewed vessels.

Steller Systems Signs MOU with Sonardyne

Steller Systems is pleased to announce that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with underwater defence company Sonardyne to supply and integrate platform sensor solutions for one of Steller Systems’ uncrewed marine vehicles.

This collaboration with Sonardyne will ensure that Steller Systems’ ground-breaking vessel design will benefit from Sonardyne’s world-leading sensor and navigation solutions.

Steller Systems has developed an extensive portfolio of surface and subsurface UXV designs for a number of clients to meet specific mission requirements, as well as UXV launch and recovery systems.

Steller Systems’ Graduates Competing in Design Challenge

Good luck to Steller Systems’ Graduate Naval Architects Amy Potter, Alex Pardoe and Alastair Wallace who are taking part in tonight’s finals for the RINA/IMarEST Western Joint Branch 2021 Design Challenge. The team will be presenting their concept for a vessel designed for researching the environmental effects of marine traffic through the Arctic.

Steller Systems’ 10th Birthday Celebration

Earlier this week, (almost) all of Steller Systems’ team got together for the first time in 18 months to belatedly celebrate our 10th birthday. The team spent the day discussing a wide variety of current projects, ongoing research and development work, recent technical achievements and our exciting plans for the future.

Our people are the heart of our business, and we are very fortunate to have such a great team of professional, passionate individuals who thrive in working together to share ideas. Whilst the pandemic has presented more than its fair share of challenges, not even COVID-19 could slow the team down and we are proud of the way that Steller Systems has developed and grown over the last 18 months.

Steller Systems is currently recruiting a Senior or Principal Project Manager to join our growing team.
 
The Project Manager will work as an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team of naval architects, marine engineers and structural engineers, delivering high-quality solutions to clients in the unmanned vehicles, surface ship and submarine domains.
 
The Project Manager will manage a number of Steller Systems’ more complex and exciting projects. These range from the delivery of technical services to the development of highly innovative vessel designs, rapid prototyping and trials.
 
The successful candidate will have experience in the marine or defence sectors, ideally with prior naval architecture or marine engineering experience. The role requires a strong focus on delivering customer satisfaction.
 
We are looking for team players with strong project management skills and an ability to communicate clearly both internally and externally to the organisation.
 
The role will be based at our Grade II listed offices located in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold town of Nailsworth.
